A server within Schulson Collective is responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences by delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a high level of professionalism. This role requires a comprehensive knowledge of our menu, the ability to make recommendations, and a focus on upselling. The ideal candidate is a seasoned server with a passion for hospitality and a track record of excellence in a fast-paced dining environment.
Job Responsibility:
Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival
Guide guests through the menu, offering suggestions and answering any questions
Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar promptly
Deliver food and beverages to the table in a timely manner
Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in regularly and addressing any concerns immediately
Provide a memorable dining experience by maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the menu, including daily specials, ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens
Make informed recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions
Keep up-to-date with changes in the menu and promotions
Identify opportunities to upsell beverages, appetizers, desserts, and specials
Promote special events, loyalty programs, and other restaurant services
Ensure all orders are accurately entered into the Toast POS system
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
Handle any order discrepancies or issues with a focus on guest satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for the next guests
Adhere to sanitation and safety standards at all times
Assist with side work, such as restocking supplies and preparing for the next shift
Work collaboratively with other servers, kitchen staff, and management
Assist teammates as needed to ensure efficient operation and guest satisfaction
Participate in team meetings and training sessions
Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years of serving experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant
Proven track record of providing excellent customer service and upselling
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Proficiency with Toast (POS) system
Professional appearance and demeanor
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
