Job Description:

Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests at The Westin Phoenix Downtown. Set tables according to type of event and service standards, answer menu questions, communicate with kitchen staff, and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience.

Job Responsibility:

Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
Set tables according to type of event and service standards
Answer questions on menu selections
Communicate with kitchen regarding menu questions and product availability
Record transactions in MICROS system
Check with guests to ensure satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness of work areas
Complete closing duties including restocking items
Present check and process payment
Follow safety and security policies
Ensure uniform and appearance are professional

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
