The Server provides exceptional quality and service to Seasons Restaurant guests. In this role, you will be tasked with providing an expertly served beverage or dining experience; anticipating the guests’ needs and as an expert on the menu options; and delivering memorable guest experiences.
Job Responsibility:
Anticipate and service of guests' requirements before requests are necessary
Serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner
Be familiar with the wine list and in wine and beverage service including stemware used and appropriate garnishes
Utilize a "Captain's Pad" correctly and for the sake of communication
Complete opening and closing side work as assigned and have all tables set according to standard
Present menus (including children’s menus) and explanations for all menu items as well as specials of the day
Offer a cheese and fruit tray explaining each of the various selections for the day
Utilize the Residence Club’s computer system ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks and completing closing readings
Carry trays, bus and reset tables with linen, china, glass and silver
Ascertain a guest's satisfaction and handle any problem which may arise informing a manager of the problem and how it was resolved
Handle a guest walk out
Respond properly in any Residence Club emergency or safety situation
Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Residence Club management and staff
Requirements:
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
1-2 years food and beverage serving and/or related food and beverage experience
Excellent knowledge of food, preparation, and wines
San Diego County Food Handlers card (not required upon hire)
