Double Knot NYC brings the Schulson Collective’s award-winning concept to the heart of Manhattan. This bi-level Japanese restaurant and cocktail lounge offers a dynamic balance: a vibrant upstairs bar with elevated cocktails and a hidden izakaya below serving sushi, robatayaki, and small plates. Job Responsibility:

  • Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival
  • Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and dietary restrictions
  • Make recommendations based on guests' preferences
  • Accurately take food and drink orders using Toast POS system
  • Communicate special requests and dietary restrictions to the kitchen and bar staff
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner
  • Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and upsell additional items when appropriate
  • Assist other servers and staff during busy periods
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions
  • Adhere to all restaurant policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
  • Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of POS systems, preferably has worked with Toast
  • Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
