Job Description:

Boatyard is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The Server plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive an enjoyable experience. This position requires a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. If you thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere and have a love for the culinary arts, we would love to hear from you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Greet guests promptly and warm upon arrival
  • Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (ex. Daily specials, menu items etc.)
  • Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all orders are accurate, presented beautifully and in a timely manner
  • Take accurate food/beverage orders to enter into POS system
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe dining experience
  • Collaborate closely with team to facilitate smooth service during peak hours
  • Set up/breakdown sections, including restocking, cleaning and organizing as needed
  • Provide exceptional guest experience by being attentive, personable and professional
  • Work as a team to support follow staff
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
  • Process payments accurately (cash, card, etc.)
  • Strong cocktail/spirit/wine knowledge

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of food/beverage handling practices and food safety regulations
  • Previous experience in hospitality is preferred 5 years minimum
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Excellent/high energy customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
  • Ability to adapt/work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with handling cash/credit card payment methods
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ensures smooth operation of service standards
  • Attention to detail and presentation
