Job Responsibility:
Serve, clear and re-set tables in a timely manner, while adhering to Fairmont Hotels and Resorts standards
Assist guest regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
Ensure that overall cleanliness and maintenance of our banquet venues exceeds expectation
Ensure the delivery of excellent service in banquet functions and meeting events
Set-up and breakdown of functions and meeting events
Provide any service required by the guests on the banquet floor
Check service stations for necessary equipment and set up: food, beverages, ice, dishes, and utensils
replenish as needed
Adhere to the State of Hawaii food handling safety standards
Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests
Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Be knowledgeable of the island, our resort and its offerings in order to be our guests’ trusted guide
Carry out duties in accordance with company policies/procedures to ensure safety and security of guests and colleagues, including reporting suspicious persons and lost and found items
Promote and enforce health and safety awareness as well as have a complete understanding of the emergency procedures
Follow hotel and departmental policies, procedures and service standards
Requirements:
One year of Food & Beverage experience
Previous experience in luxury hotel environment desirable
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
TB Clearance required
Food Safety Certification or ServSafe Certification required
Maui County Liquor Card required
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States (no sponsorship offered)
Nice to have:
Previous experience in luxury hotel environment desirable
