Job Responsibility:
Ownership of competitive performance and feature analysis across a multi‑year server product horizon, working closely with strategy and architecture teams to shape AMD’s point of view
Serve as the go‑to authority for competitive performance, TCO, and feature parity relative to AMD’s product roadmap
Recommend product definition and roadmap enhancements based on competitive insights, benchmarks, and workload analysis
Develop and deliver competitive key metrics, analysis, and content to drive internal alignment across engineering, operations, design‑win, and executive teams, including C‑level reporting
Manage all internal and NDA‑restricted performance data, benchmarks, and target workloads, acting as the gatekeeper for legally approved competitive content
Collaborate with NPI and Marketing teams to support product launch activities with performance and competitive messaging
Drive early internal and third‑party workload enablement to ensure robust performance coverage for current and future products
Partner with engineering teams and external bodies to influence industry‑standard benchmark development in ways that best represent and support future AMD server products
Requirements:
Extensive experience in performance and competitive marketing for Server computing products
Strong technical background across systems, platforms, silicon, and supporting software ecosystem
Proven leadership skills to influence and engage AMD executives, field application engineers, engineers, architects, marketers, program managers, operations, and business development professionals
Ability to analyze multi‑year competitive landscapes, form strategic points of view, and guide product direction through data‑driven insights
Ability to deeply understand server performance, total cost of ownership (TCO), features, and workloads
Ability to engage credibly with silicon, platform, and software engineering teams
Ability to anticipate technology trends, translate competitive intelligence into actionable recommendations, and influence product definition
Ability to synthesize complex technical and competitive data into clear messaging for audiences ranging from engineers to C‑level executives
Bachelor’s degree in a technology‑related discipline required
Master’s degree or MBA preferred
Several years of relevant experience in the computer industry, with server hardware and software experience strongly required
