The Server Load Balancer Engineer is a senior role focused on the architecture and management of load-balancing solutions, particularly with F5 BIG-IP. The SLB & GSLB L3 Engineer is a senior subject matter expert responsible for the architecture, deployment, and operational management of mission-critical load-balancing solutions. This role requires extensive experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM, or similar platforms, in a highly regulated and performance-sensitive banking environment.
Job Responsibility:
Design, implement, and maintain F5 BIG-IP solutions, including LTM for SLB and GTM for GSLB, adhering to industry best practices
Act as the Level 3 escalation point for complex F5 and application-related issues
Perform advanced configuration tasks such as creating and modifying virtual servers, pools, health monitors, profiles, and iRules
Plan and execute software upgrades, patches, and hotfixes for F5 BIG-IP appliances (physical and virtual)
Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning for the F5 infrastructure
Expertise in implementing global server load balancing (GSLB), familiarity with WebSocket and gRPC protocols
Work closely with application development, network, and security teams to understand requirements and implement solutions
Maintain network and security architecture diagram and review and update the based-on changes
Provide the suggestions for any enhancements/changes that can enhance the security posture and/or add business value to the delivery framework
Shall analyze incidents independently & identify root cause and act for containment and remediation
Provides engineering analysis and architectural design of technical solutions
