Job Description:

Lead server role at Sheraton Shanghai Chongming Hotel, Marriott International. Responsibilities include serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, guest communication, and assisting management with team activities while adhering to company policies and safety standards.

Job Responsibility:

Serve food courses and beverages
communicate menu questions and availability with the kitchen
maintain cleanliness of tables and work areas
inspect presentation and cleanliness of dining items
anticipate and address guest service needs
support the team to meet service goals
follow safety and company policies
assist management in hiring, training, evaluating, and counseling employees
perform duties as requested.

Requirements:

Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, length of wait, recook orders, and product availability
maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
inspect cleanliness and presentation of china, glass, and silver
monitor and maintain cleanliness of assigned tables
ensure staff works as a team
follow company policies regarding safety and appearance
stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
reach overhead and below knees
perform other reasonable duties
education: high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
related work experience: at least 2 years of related work experience.
