Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Grade A Solicitor to join our Serious Injuries Team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing complex multi-track claims, specialising in catastrophic injuries and child brain injury cases.

Job Responsibility

  • Independently handle a caseload of serious injury claims, with estimated values over £100,000, from initial instruction through to settlement or trial
  • Demonstrate specialist expertise in catastrophic injury claims, with a particular focus on child brain injury cases
  • Provide guidance and support to Grade C and D solicitors, ensuring high standards of case management and professional development within the team
  • Maintain excellent client care, delivering sensitive and empathetic support to clients and their families during challenging times
  • Collaborate with medical experts, counsel, and external professionals to progress cases effectively
  • Ensure all claims are managed in accordance with regulatory requirements, firm policies, and best practice standards
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions, contributing to the continuous improvement of the Serious Injuries Team

Requirements

  • Qualified as a Solicitor (or Chartered Legal Executive)
  • Minimum of 8 years’ post-qualification experience in multi-track claims handling
  • Exposure to catastrophic injury claims and a specialism in child brain injury litigation
  • Proven ability to manage high-value cases exceeding £100,000 independently
  • Demonstrable experience in mentoring junior solicitors (Grade C & D)
  • Outstanding communication, organisational, and negotiation skills
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of client care and professional integrity
