Job Responsibility
Employee will provide support to the NGA Integration Test and Image Quality Office (TAC) which is the primary integration testing and quality assurance organization
Employee will assist with providing independent verification and validation of software and hardware, and information system releases prior to operations
Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts
Working under only general direction, provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
Independently determines and develops approach to solutions
Sources, selects, and qualifies components used in the company’s technology
Investigates alternate component technologies or supplies, reducing cost and improving quality and reliability
Acts as technical interface between component/production suppliers and development engineers, determining new and alternate sources
Investigates alternate component technologies or supplies for reduced cost or improved quality and reliability, and implements changes
Develops guidelines/procedures on vendor selection
Evaluates supplier change notification and qualifies changes, as needed
May maintain component data management system including qualification records/results/documentation
Requirements
Must possess and have the ability to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Poly
BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2
Bachelor's degree in Imaging Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or related STEM field
Working knowledge of Image Quality Equations (IQEs) to include creation and application
Creation of and development of algorithm assessments
Techniques for correction of system anomalies and artifacts
Experience with creation of imagery evaluations, image quality studies, new product/sensor initializations, product algorithm assessments, and the development of image quality equations
Working knowledge and practical application of modeling components of the image creation path to include sensor, detector, atmospheric, and material properties
Experience with imaging systems to include PAN, IR, MSI/HSI, RADAR, and LIDAR, on both space or airborne platforms
Simulation and modeling experience and ability to develop algorithm description documentation for software development
Working knowledge of various basic ELTs, Matlab, and mathematics/equations/functions
Basic knowledge of sensor types to include airborne, space-borne, and FMV
A specialist on complex technical and business matters
Able to develop and use more complex concepts and processes, conduct root cause problem analysis and develop technical solutions to problems
Guides and supports junior level personnel
Proactive in handling taskings, requires minimal guidance and only when dealing with new, uncertain, undefined or undeveloped tasks
Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
Proficient in oral and written communication skills

Familiarity with current GEOINT systems, products and development, as well as exploitation software packages such as all ELTs, AGITK, and other software plug-ins or applications necessary to develop test and verification methodologies
