Due to exciting growth in our Australian Environmental Business, we are looking for senior level zoologists and above to work in our passionate Terrestrial Fauna Team. We are interested in Senior Zoologists and above that can manage projects, lead surveys, and write technical reports. Based in our Perth office, our Fauna Team are leading experts in their field, with demonstrated experience in undertaking detailed fauna surveys, targeted significant fauna surveys, technical reporting, and impact assessments. We have a large pipeline of current and upcoming exciting projects spanning across the Pilbara, Central Deserts, Mid-west, Goldfields, and Southwest regions of Western Australia.
Job Responsibility:
Run exciting projects involving multiple baseline and targeted fauna surveys
Ability to lead surveys with multiple teams and/or complex logistics in a range of remote and diverse environments across Western Australia
Analyse ecological data and prepare clear, concise technical reports tailored to our clients needs
Liaise with internal and external subject matter experts
Prepare proposals, budgets, and tender documents
Provide technical support and advice to the terrestrial fauna team
Opportunity to collaborate across various ecological disciplines (aquatic ecology, flora and vegetation, marine science, environmental impact assessment, mine closure and rehabilitation)

Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, or a related discipline
Five to ten years professional terrestrial fauna experience, ideally with an environmental consultancy
Eligible to work in Australia with a current C class unrestricted (manual) drivers’ licence
Ability to undertake field surveys up to two weeks in remote locations across WA
A sound level of physical fitness and ability to pass a fitness assessment for field surveys
Terrestrial fauna survey experience and demonstrated enthusiasm for zoology
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment and across projects and teams
Interest in embracing innovation to continually improve the work we do
Nice to have:
Arid zone/desert survey experience
Bird survey experience
Terrestrial invertebrate survey experience
