Job Description

Road9 Media is hiring a Senior WordPress Full-Stack Developer with strong frontend skills. The role is UI-heavy: the developer must build responsive interfaces from scratch, handle advanced JavaScript animations/effects, and develop custom WordPress functionality when needed.

Job Responsibility

  • Build responsive WordPress websites from scratch based on approved UI/UX designs
  • Convert Figma / Adobe XD designs into clean, accurate HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress themes
  • Develop advanced UI animations, transitions, interactions, and scroll-based effects
  • Build custom WordPress themes without relying on ready-made themes or theme customization
  • Develop custom WordPress plugins and backend functionality when needed
  • Customize WooCommerce and WordPress admin workflows
  • Integrate WordPress websites with CRMs, payment gateways, APIs, and third-party platforms
  • Migrate websites from staging to live servers safely
  • Handle basic hosting, DNS, SSL, backup, and server-related WordPress issues
  • Support long-term maintenance clients with website updates, bug fixing, server checks, and performance issues
  • Handle performance optimization, responsive testing, browser compatibility, and bug fixing
  • Maintain clean, reusable, and well-structured code
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers, project delivery, and backend developers to deliver websites to client-ready standards

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional WordPress development experience
  • Strong frontend skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive development, and UI effects
  • Strong experience converting custom designs into pixel-accurate WordPress websites
  • Strong PHP and WordPress development experience
  • Experience building custom themes and custom plugins
  • Experience with WooCommerce customization
  • Experience with API integrations, CRMs, and payment gateways
  • Experience migrating WordPress websites from staging to live
  • Basic server management experience: hosting panels, DNS, SSL, backups, redirects, and email/domain-related checks
  • Good understanding of website speed, SEO structure, security basics, and clean code standards
  • Experience using Git or similar version control
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Portfolio showing custom WordPress websites with strong UI quality

Nice to have

  • Experience with complex landing pages, corporate websites, and e-commerce websites
  • Experience maintaining websites under long-term support agreements
  • Understanding of UX/UI logic, not only implementation
