Job Description:

Senior Web3 Infrastructure Engineer position in Citi's Innovation Labs, part of the core team building and managing Citi Integrated Digital Assets Platform (CIDAP). The role requires a perfect mix of DevOps and Web3 Infrastructure expertise with blockchain networks and nodes.

Job Responsibility:

Design, deploy and maintain scalable web3 infrastructure using container orchestration platforms
Own and manage web3 infrastructure throughout its entire lifecycle
Own and handle capacity management of web3 infrastructure
Setup, manage and operate web3 infrastructure adhering to 99.99% uptime
Design, develop and maintain abstractions for upstream applications to interface with web3 infrastructure
Provide L3 production support and internal team support
Help resolve/escalate issues to deliver projects on time, on budget and with quality

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in CS or Engineering
8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE or Infrastructure Engineering
3 to 5 years of experience running, managing and operating blockchain nodes and private blockchain networks (Hyperledger Besu and EVM-Compatible)
3 to 5 years of experience with containerization (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Dockers, Podman, Helm Charts)
3 to 5 years of experience with DevSecOps and Infrastructure Security (TLS, Secrets Management, Firewalls, SAST)
3 to 5 years of experience coding and scripting (Bash, Python, Go, YAML)
3 to 5 years of experience managing infrastructure in datacenters
1 to 3 years of experience with configuration management and automated deployment via CI/CD Pipeline
1 to 3 years of experience configuring, running and managing proxies and reverse proxies (NGINX, HAProxy, Caddy)
1 to 3 years of experience configuring, running and managing monitoring, observability and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana)

Nice to have:

Experience with Bitcoin Network
Familiarity with Istio and OpenShift Service Mesh
Familiarity with web3 libraries like Web3J and Web3JS
Familiarity with common and best practices for web3 applications
Familiarity with Agile Methodology and Scrum
Familiarity with TEE, Confidential Computing and Enclave Tech
MS or PhD in computer science or related discipline
AWS and GCP experience
Terraform experience
