Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking for a Senior Wealth Underwriter to lead initiatives and deliverables related to Wealth Underwriting, evaluate borrower financial data, and manage credit risk while adhering to policies and regulations.

Job Responsibility:

Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables and contribute to large-scale planning related to Wealth Underwriting
review, analyze, and evaluate borrower financial data for moderately complex high-net-worth loans to determine credit worthiness and monitor existing portfolio
independently resolve moderately complex business, operational, or technical issues
develop solid understanding of Home Lending policies, procedures, regulations, and compliance requirements
collaborate and consult with Wealth Underwriting peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
serve as a mentor for lower level staff
provide input to assist leaders with credit risk management decisions to ensure satisfactory credit portfolio risk examinations

Requirements:

4+ years of Wealth Underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
at least an MBA or a CA, or an equivalent qualification
7-12 years of Credit Underwriting experience in a bank or rating agency
experience in writing detailed credit memos/papers
strong communication skills both verbal and written
high level of personal motivation and strong interpersonal skills
basic to advanced Excel skills
ability to work independently and as part of a team
CFA level I, II or III
knowledge of programming language a plus
