Consor Engineers is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Pipeline Engineer / Project Manager to join our growing Phoenix, AZ office. This role is ideal for an experienced, licensed professional engineer with strong conveyance and hydraulic design expertise who is ready to lead complex pipeline projects, manage client relationships, and mentor developing engineers. Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as Project Manager and/or Technical Lead for water and wastewater pipeline projects, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and quality
  • Lead the planning and design of water distribution, reclaimed water, and wastewater collection systems, including pipelines, pump stations, lift stations, and storage facilities
  • Perform and oversee hydraulic analyses and system modeling to support system sizing, capacity evaluations, and operational optimization
  • Develop and review technical deliverables including engineering reports, feasibility studies, design plans and profiles, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Coordinate with survey, geotechnical, environmental, and utility stakeholders to support constructible designs
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, supporting long-term relationships and ensuring successful project outcomes
  • Support project pursuits, including proposal development, scope definition, fee development, and participation in interviews
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and supporting career development
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to Consor standards across conveyance projects

Requirements:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in water and/or wastewater conveyance and pipeline engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or a closely related engineering discipline
  • Proven experience managing engineering projects and leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and client-facing skills

  • Experience delivering pipeline projects through design and construction
  • Strong background in pipeline condition assessment, rehabilitation, modeling and related tasks
  • Familiarity with municipal water distribution and wastewater collection standards
