The role of Senior Water Resources Engineer comes with the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule and will provide you with the opportunity to: Work on mine site wide water balance and water quality models (with the opportunity to use GoldSim); Design hydrotechnical components of tailings storage facilities for global mining projects; Incorporate climate change resiliency in hydrotechnical design; Contribute to risk assessments, Dam Safety Reviews (DSRs) and risk-informed decision making; Engage with clients, colleagues and suppliers on environmentally focused field programs and design solutions; Work with the latest versions of software, including GoldSim, PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC- HMS, Flow-2D/3D; Be a part of diverse teams of multi-discipline engineers and designers from conceptual design through to construction; Receive ongoing guidance and mentorship from leaders in the industry in a supportive, dynamic company culture that supports career development; Travel to various project sites within Canada and internationally.

Requirements:
A degree in civil engineering, with a track record of continued development
10 - 15 years of civil design experience related to surface water controls for mining projects
You must be eligible to register as professional engineer in Canada
Experience in channel design, flood mapping, water conveyance and drainage
An ability to build relationships with multidisciplinary project-based teams
Experience in a safety focused environment with near miss and incident reporting requirements
