SENIOR WATER HANDLER DPW – WATER DIVISION AFSCME LOCAL 1700 – GRADE 9 FULL-TIME (40 HOURS PER WEEK) PAY RANGE: $58,633.12 TO $78,789.36 PER YEAR Position Overview: Must be able to operate and repair chemical pumps and motors of all kinds Will handle water treatment chemicals at all times in a safe manner Will perform maintenance inside and out of all Water Plants and Pump Houses Will keep all Water Treatment Plants, Pump Houses and Water Towers clean inside and out Must be able to work harmoniously with all Water Department Personnel Will work under the direction of the Chief Plant Operator Reports directly to the Water Superintendent. In the absence of the Water Superintendent, answers directly to the Chief Plant Operator Will do all work as assigned or required by the Water Superintendent Must be able to perform all duties in the job description of the Water Handler

Requirements
Must hold a certificate required by the Massachusetts Division of Registration for Drinking Water Facilities: Currently Grade 2T.
