Our client is a really fast growing Utilities Consultancy which provides multi utility design services to almost all the big names in the industry. They’ve added over 50 colleagues in the last 2 years alone and as demand has grown for services in water, the opportunity has arisen for someone to join as Senior Design Engineer and head up delivery of new connection services in the business. This is a great career move for someone looking for ownership of a department and who has an interest in nurturing and developing their own team.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide high-level technical support to all company departments and clients
  • Review and sign-off on Water Final Designs for construction
  • Manage significant contracts for high-profile clients
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the water distribution network industry
  • Ensure technical updates from incumbent network operators are shared across the company
  • Proficient in using and reviewing water network models via software like EPANET and WaterGEM
  • Conduct an annual review of the company’s Design Standards and Code of Practice for the water discipline
  • Participate in Technical Forums and stay updated on the Code of Practice from incumbent network operators
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of personal responsibility and commitment to getting things done
  • Overcome objections and challenges effectively
  • A highly driven and self-motivated individual who can work effectively as part of a team

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in the Water Industry, particularly in reviewing and signing off network designs
  • The necessary engineering qualifications pertinent to the Water Industry
  • Relevant training related to Management and Training will be provided as part of the company's Development Programme
