Job Description:

C14 (people manager) role in Citi's Analytics & Information Management team, part of Financial Crimes & Fraud Prevention Analytics modelling team. The position leads data scientists working on ML/AI/Gen AI models to mitigate fraud losses and minimize customer impact through advanced analytics solutions.

Job Responsibility:

Lead a team of 15+ data scientists responsible for ML/AI/Gen AI model development
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to model developers
Oversee end-to-end model development lifecycle from data collection to deployment
Establish governance frameworks for model development, deployment, and monitoring
Collaborate with model implementation team and model risk management
Mitigate fraud losses by designing and developing NextGen advanced intelligent AI/ML platforms
Analyze transaction data and understand fraud patterns
Manage career progression, performance management, and conflict resolution for team

Requirements:

Minimum 18+ years of analytics experience in core model development using ML/AI/Gen AI techniques
Sound knowledge of model development stages and industry best practices in real time deployment
Strong understanding of current state of the art ML/AI/Gen AI algorithms and Generative AI
Strong coding skill with experience in Bigdata environments
Strong knowledge of Python, SQL, and Big Data
Bachelor's degree in finance/engineering/quantitative Fields (Statistics, Mathematics)/MBA
Master's degree preferred
Model execution and governance experience in any domain
Proficient in proactive risk mitigation and project pipeline management
At least 8 years of people management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong coordination and project management skills
Ability in strategic thinking and framing business problems

Nice to have:

Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and industry standards related to model governance and risk management, such as GDPR, CCPA, or Basel III
Knowledge of domain-specific NLP applications and use case across various business problems
