Citi is looking for a Senior Vice President of Risk Analytics and Measures to lead global retail credit risk analytics and reporting at one of the world's most influential financial institutions, with direct visibility to the Chief Risk Officer, Board, and Regulators. Sitting within Citi's Consumer Cards Risk and Wealth Risk organization, this role shapes how risk intelligence is produced, governed, and acted upon across consumer credit portfolios and legacy franchise businesses. You will own the end-to-end delivery of risk analytics, drive the digitization of reporting capabilities, and ensure all outputs meet regulatory standards — including BCBS 239 — while enabling senior leaders to make faster, better-informed decisions.
Job Responsibility
Drive timely, high-quality, and compliant risk analytics, insights, and measures across all critical functions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
Lead the rationalization and redesign of risk analytics & measures products to accelerate progress toward a strong risk management target state
Collaborate extensively with USCC Risk CAO peers, Risk Policy/Process owners, and stakeholders across the first and second lines of defense to rationalize, simplify, and digitize analytics products effectively
Champion cross-training initiatives within the Risk Analytics & Measures team and with key groups in the USCC Risk CAO function, particularly India-based shared services teams, to expand bench strength and capabilities in specialized risk analytics and digitization
Conceptualize, coordinate, and prepare high-impact executive materials for the USCC CRO and management team's presentations to the Board, Risk Committees, and Regulators, including ad-hoc strategic analyses
Design, prepare, analyze, and disseminate comprehensive global/cluster risk analytics that provide critical insights, enabling Independent Risk Management to effectively monitor global risk, critically review business results, and challenge business risk strategies
Partner with Independent Risk Management and In-Business/Country Risk Management to proactively address emerging risk monitoring or regulatory requirements
Lead initiatives to establish common and concurrent utilization of 'gold source' analytics by both 1st and 2nd lines of defense, thereby reducing time to insight and enhancing decision-making
Enhance and streamline risk analytics & measures processes through the adoption of best-in-class modern intelligence tools and continuous improvement of data quality, in close partnership with stakeholders across risk management, technology, and business teams
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or another analytically intensive discipline
Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in financial services, with a significant focus on credit risk, enterprise analytics, business intelligence, or advanced data analytics
Deep understanding of consumer credit risk, associated data sources (familiarity with house sources eg. Pearl is preferred), and understanding of insights required for effective governance and monitoring of retail risk management exposures and assets throughout their lifecycle
Proven ability to synthesize complex data and analytics into succinct, impactful, and actionable insights for senior executive audiences
Demonstrated leadership in risk analytics & measures, business intelligence, and data management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects related to data aggregation and analytics
Ability to thrive and execute effectively in a dynamic, high-volume, and complex environment
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage, influence, and present to senior leadership teams and regulatory bodies
Superior interpersonal skills, adept at fostering collaboration, influencing stakeholders, and building strong, productive relationships across diverse organizational functions
