Job Description

A Senior Vendor Sourcing Manager plays an essential role within Corporate Vendor Management by providing business partners with strategic sourcing support, contract negotiation and risk mitigation. Many engagements will be focused on Human Resources (HR), such as Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), Employee Benefits, and HR systems and technology. Other areas requiring support may include Finance (accounting and tax services, Finance systems and technology), Corporate Real Estate and/or Schwab Technology Services.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead Request for Proposals (RFPs) in support of products and services needed to stand up a Global Capability Center (GCC) in India
  • Lead contract negotiations for selected vendors, partnering with Risk Review Teams and Legal to ensure compliance with Schwab requirements
  • Establish strong relationships with Schwab business partners across the firm to develop and execute contracts
  • Manage all aspects of the strategic sourcing lifecycle
  • Lead negotiations, as well as collaborate with risk groups and legal, as required on vendor engagements
  • Manage, edit and negotiate product and services agreements, NDAs and other legal documents
  • Act as an effective liaison between attorneys and business partners to address issues as they relate to contracts

Requirements

  • Strong category management and strategic sourcing background
  • Experience in Human Resources spend categories (e.g., Recruitment Process Outsourcing, Employee Benefits)
  • Experience supporting sourcing and contracting in India
  • Experience helping stand up a Global Capability Center (GCC) or Global In-house Center (GIC)
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and extract complex legal, technical and business issues
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work across the enterprise or within cross-functional team
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite applications, Outlook and Ariba
