Job Description

Senior Valuation Surveyor North West London £450 per day (Umbrella) 6-Month Ongoing Contract Hybrid Working

Job Responsibility

  • Contribute to the effective management of the Council’s Corporate Estate
  • Act as lead contact to Housing Services on valuation matters, including regeneration schemes such as Grange Farm redevelopment
  • Deliver residential valuation work including Right to Buy (RTB) and leasehold enfranchisement
  • Support Housing with property acquisitions, including potential CPO processes
  • Undertake asset valuations across the General Fund and HRA portfolios in accordance with RICS Professional Standards
  • Manage lease renewals, rent reviews and lettings of commercial property (shops, industrial units, offices etc.)
  • Assist in monitoring and resolving rental arrears
  • Prepare and present evidence for Public Enquiries, Arbitration, Court and Lands Tribunal cases
  • Negotiate compensation claims and acquisition settlements

Requirements

  • MRICS or FRICS (General Practice & Valuation)
  • Registered Valuer status (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong experience in valuation, estate management and property acquisitions
  • Experience within a local authority or public sector setting desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to manage workload independently with minimal supervision
