Senior UX Researcher at TripAdvisor, you will be the primary insights partner for our B2C Product Details Page (PDP) across Viator and TripAdvisor - where millions of travelers decide their next adventure. Reporting to the Director of Product Design & Research, you will be responsible for raising the bar of our research craft. You will masterfully triangulate qualitative findings with Voice of Customer (VoC) signals and behavioral data, translating them into actionable insights that inform the future of our product roadmap in a complex, global marketplace.
Job Responsibility:
Strategic Impact: Lead large-scale initiatives-including international benchmarking and quarterly planning
Tactical Agility: Drive a high-velocity stream of rapid-response research to support immediate PDP optimizations and design iterations
Insight Triangulation: Synthesize multiple data streams to provide a 360-degree view of traveler pain points and opportunities
Quantitative Rigor: Lead large-scale survey design and analysis
Craft Leadership: Act as a "force multiplier" for the research team by establishing best practices, templates, and rigorous standards
Operate with high autonomy: Confidently field and shape ambiguous research asks into clear, actionable research plans
Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making in day-to-day work
Proven ability to operate effectively with a global-first mindset
Minimum BA/BSc degree in psychology, HCI, design, communication, statistics or other related field
6+ years of professional applied research experience
Business-Minded Researcher: You understand business metrics (e.g., Conversion, AOV, Retention)
Mixed-Methods & Quant Literacy: Deep experience triangulating qual with quant
Strategic Architect: Proven ability to contribute and influence research and product roadmaps at the leadership level
E-commerce Intuition: Expertise in high-intent B2C environments (travel, marketplaces, or fintech)
Operational Scrappiness: Ability to thrive in a "no-ops" environment, managing the full research lifecycle with high autonomy
Global Mindset: Experience (or a strong desire) to lead international research (FIGS)
Nice to have:
AI-Augmented Workflows: Experience leveraging AI tools to streamline the research lifecycle
Data Fluency: Experience partnering closely with Data Science teams to validate qualitative hypotheses
Advanced Analytics: Experience with self-service tools like Amplitude or SQL to pull behavioral signals independently
