We are establishing a new, independent UX Quality & Consumer Experience Assurance capability to raise the bar for how user experience is treated across our Consumer Business. As a Senior UX Researcher, you are a hands-on research professional embedded in pre-development and product development teams. You ensure that user needs are deeply understood, translated into clear requirements, and validated throughout the development lifecycle. As a Senior UX Researcher, you go a step further: you help shape research direction, coach others, and take ownership for complex research scopes that directly influence UX quality decisions and lifecycle gating. In all cases, your work helps ensure that when consumers use our products, they feel: "Somebody really thought about me."
Job Responsibility:
Execute UX Research & Validation: Plan and execute qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method UX research
Validate UX requirements, concepts, usability, and end-to-end experiences
Select and apply appropriate research methods independently or with agency support
Take explicit ownership for ensuring insights are robust, timely, and complete enough to support quality and go/no-go decisions, actively challenging teams when evidence is insufficient, UX risks remain unresolved, or decisions are being made too late in the process
Benchmarking & In-Market Feedback: Conduct competitor and best-in-class UX benchmarking
Support post-launch UX evaluation through R&R and consumer feedback channels
Feed learnings back into current projects and future development
Use benchmarks and in-market data to raise ambition levels and UX quality standards
Collaboration & Storytelling: Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, designers, consumer service, and marketing intelligence
Represent the user perspective and challenge assumptions
Communicate insights through clear, compelling storytelling, tailored to different audiences
Influence senior stakeholders through evidence, clarity, and strong narratives
Coach others in effective research communication and storytelling
Requirements:
Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Industrial Design, Cognitive Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience with strong methodological grounding
Strong experience in UX research and validation in consumer product or service environments
Proven ability to execute research pragmatically within real development timelines
Expertise in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed research methods
Strong analytical and synthesis skills
Ability to translate insights into requirements and decisions
Strong time and priority management skills
able to plan and execute research so that UX evidence is available in time to inform lifecycle gate decisions, in close alignment with project leaders
Comfortable working in ambiguity and evolving setups
Clear communicator and compelling storyteller
Passion for products and users
Extensive experience leading UX research in complex product environments
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance and high ownership
Strong judgment and confidence to challenge teams using evidence
