We’re looking for an experienced UX Developer to join our team of product owners and domain experts to drive the functionality of our web-based Unmanned Space Cost Model (USCM). Our goal is to provide intuitive, efficient, and clean experiences for our users. This is a senior role that involves working closely with a team of analysts and developers to deliver first-class data-driven website solutions. Job Responsibility:
Work directly with customers, product managers, analysts, other developers, QA, and end-users to ensure we are delivering the desired functionality while maintaining a high-quality user experience and consistent look and feel for our Unmanned Space Cost Model (USCM) product line
Create user flows, wireframes and detailed specifications to describe the user experience for stakeholders to review and developers to implement
Implement features using Angular and C#
Become an expert in our applications and domain
Participate in Agile/Scrum process and code reviews to meet sprint release schedules
Work closely with other designers to develop creative UI/UX concepts for style-focused websites, enterprise web applications, and more
Occasional presentations to customers on requirements, design, completed work
Act mindfully of applicable software technologies and trends, and integrate them into our products
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years of relevant experience (degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, HCDE, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Informatics, or related degree)
Experience with data-driven design (analytics analysis) is a plus
Experience working with the Federal Government, Departments of Defense or Homeland Security, though not necessary, would be beneficial
U.S. citizenship is required
Work with requirements staff to understand and design desired functionality
Portfolio that demonstrates talent and skill designing web applications
Experience using Figma or an equivalent mockup/wire-framing application
Experience with designing for Accessibility (Section 508, WCAG 2.0)
Understand, articulate, and implement complex software development concepts
Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS) and frameworks (Angular, bootstrap, material design)
Experience with common programming languages (C#, C++, VB, etc.)
Familiarity with SQL and database concepts to communicate with back-end developers
Nice to have:
Experience with data-driven design (analytics analysis)
Experience working with the Federal Government, Departments of Defense or Homeland Security
