The Sr. Utility Operations Rep will support the Manager of Utility Operations by ensuring 7-Eleven's utilities are always on. The rep will often work with our Utility Bill Pay Vendor, as well as utilities across the United States and Canada. They will work to open/close utility accounts, as well as rapidly respond to utility disconnect threats and coordinate with facilities on known outages. This rep is part of a team which is responsible for ensuring power stays on for 7-Eleven's includes 13,000 locations and 40,000 accounts.
Job Responsibility:
Manage utility account open/close activity for 450 stores annually
Manage utility disconnections to quickly restore service
Negotiate with utility partners to de-escalate disconnections, capture credits, waive fees, resolve meter issues
Work with Utility Bill pay partner for new store openings/closings and to expedite payments
Professionally represent 7-Eleven with utilities to address billing inquiries
Assist with analyzing/auditing 450,000 utility invoices annually using variance reporting and trend analysis
Identify use/cost anomalies/variances and analyze root cause
Build strong relationships with internal and external partners
Develop and implement process controls to maintain utility data accuracy
Manage daily utility written correspondence received at SSC
Maintain comprehensive utility database
Requirements:
Bachelors/4-year degree
5+ years relevant work experience
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel
Thorough working knowledge of database concepts and common applications
Excellent written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Strong leadership and time-management skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities
Ability to work independently with little supervision
