HSB Solomon Associates LLC (Solomon), a subsidiary of Hartford Steam Boiler and MunichRe, is seeking candidates for a Senior Upstream Advisor position to work in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment. Solomon is the leading performance improvement company for the global energy industry, serving clients in nearly 80 countries. Solomon provides data-driven, strategic insight across the energy industry, leading to greater efficiency, reliability, and profitability. The Senior Advisor will be a core member of Solomon’s Solutions Delivery team focused on Solomon’s global advisory business. This position will be responsible for client engagement, project management, benchmarking activities, maintaining technical integrity of advisory projects for which they are responsible, and for providing subject-matter expertise related to business performance and operations in the area of Upstream production operations. The Senior Advisor will directly contribute to the success and profitability of Solomon’s core businesses.

  • Provides support to product management teams, advises on customer feedback/satisfaction, and introduces product development ideas

  • Provides project management, including resource and cost forecasting, using ERP system, resource planning, and negotiation for resources

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, or related engineering field)
  • 15+ years in the Upstream energy industry (Energy Operator or consultancy experience)
  • Experience in at least four of the following areas: operations management, production operations, facilities engineering, maintenance, turnarounds, operations readiness, operations continuous improvement, health and safety, operating costs, well servicing, and supply chain management
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data and information into practical solutions and recommendations
  • Ability to present and provide insightful analysis up to and including the C Suite
  • Willingness and ability to develop new advisory business
  • Demonstrated ability to manage key project workflows and overall coordination of projects
  • Ability to apply Solomon methodologies as analysis tools
  • Knowledge of engineering calculations and spreadsheet or database expert user
  • Delivery of high-quality work product using Solomon documentation standards
  • Actively coaches other advisors in areas of subject matter expertise
  • Must demonstrate strong job quality motivation and possess high degree of intelligence
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills
