We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Vice President, Senior Underwriter (Financial Institutions) - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Credit Group Manager - C14) based in, Philippines. Within ICM, the Credit Underwriting function (“ICM UW” or “UW”) provides credit analysis, underwriting, and first line of defense credit approval for periodic / material transaction reviews, and any necessary subsequent credit monitoring across all institutional business including Corporate Banking, Services, and Markets relationships. Underwriters manage a team of analysts with a portfolio of relationships across ASEAN and ANZ, being responsible for the continuous monitoring of that portfolio and the team. That includes the production of annual reviews, quarterly reviews, and the support of ad-hoc transactions and portfolio & industry reviews and stress testing, in partnership with Corporate Banking and Risk. This role reports to ICM UW ASEAN ANZ FI Head.
Job Responsibility:
Accountability for ensuring risk analysis of applicable portfolio is consistent with industry leading practices and conforms to all internal credit procedures/policies, and all related regulatory expectations
Continuous engagement with applicable senior stakeholders in the region to understand any concerns regarding execution of risk analysis and/or emerging risks which will need to be addressed by the team
Execute Region Head plans, strategy, and objectives for ICM UW
Coordinate to address and escalate emerging risk concerns and to share best practices
Ensure ongoing and timely feedback and coaching of Team to sustain a strong credit culture and an unwavering commitment to excellence in analysis and execution
Partnership with applicable regional and industry stakeholders in the design of credit assessment and monitoring standards for applicable portfolios
Attract, develop, and retain top quality staff including as regards active engagement with regional on-campus recruiting efforts to ensure a robust pipeline of talent
Actively participate in Training opportunities including instructor led courses
participate as guest speakers as applicable
Support Head of ICM UW on internal projects and initiatives
Support ICM UW Voice of the Employee (VOE) initiatives
Travel (less than 10%)
Requirements:
Satisfactory completion of Credit Training, Senior Credit Officer Training or equivalent
Superior risk assessment skills, including problem recognition, defining, and structuring of solutions to credit related issues

Fully conversant in credit policy and risk principles and perceived as a respected carrier of risk culture
Ability to recognize and address major types of risk, including market, operational and cross border

Bachelor’s/University degree in Finance / Accounting or any other related subject or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred
Financial Services experience including 10+ years of credit experience in Banking or Credit Risk Management
