Job Responsibility:
Assess and process underwriting cases for life, critical illness, and disability insurance
Improve turnaround times and contribute to performance objectives (targeting a 5–7 day reduction)
Ensure quality, consistency, and compliance in underwriting decisions
Collaborate with managers and internal teams on day-to-day operational follow-up
Participate in continuous improvement of underwriting processes and tools
Support effective management of case volumes and adherence to performance indicators (SLAs)
Apply and share best practices in underwriting and risk assessment
Support knowledge transfer and training within the team
Use underwriting tools and reference materials (e.g., RGA GUM manual, if applicable)
Requirements:
5–10 years of experience in underwriting (senior level)
Experience in life, critical illness, and disability insurance underwriting
Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and decision-making
Experience in high-volume, SLA-driven environments
Focus on quality, consistency, and compliance
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Nice to have:
Experience with process improvement and operational efficiency
Bilingualism (English/French)
Familiarity with underwriting tools/manuals (e.g., RGA GUM)
