Job Description

Amaris Consulting is looking for a Senior UHF Payload Systems Engineer to join an innovative space and satellite communications project in Luxembourg. You will contribute to the design, integration, and validation of advanced satellite communication systems operating in the UHF band. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and external partners, you will support the development of next-generation satellite payload solutions within a dynamic international environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and support the end-to-end architecture of UHF satellite communication systems
  • Translate mission and operational needs into system and payload requirements
  • Perform RF performance analyses and link budget calculations
  • Contribute to payload integration, verification, validation, and testing activities
  • Collaborate with suppliers, engineering teams, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support system qualification and in-orbit validation activities
  • Participate in technical reviews and documentation activities

Requirements

  • Master's degree or PhD in Telecommunications, RF Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in satellite communications
  • Strong experience with UHF communication systems
  • Good knowledge of RF engineering, link budget analysis, and satellite payload architectures
  • Experience with integration, verification, and validation (IVV) activities
  • Familiarity with NGSO or MEO satellite systems
  • Proficiency with MATLAB and/or Python
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Luxembourg
  • Fluent English required
  • Experience working in Defence, Governmental, NATO, or secure communications environments
