Job Description

We've been helping our members save for their future and buy their own home since 1875. Join us and you'll play a big role in helping us to put home ownership within reach of more people, generation after generation. It's a purpose that drives everything we do. And you can play your part too - as Senior UAT Test Lead, you'll bring a strong business lens to quality across our Core Banking Transformation programme, enabling safe, evidence-based go-live decisions.

Job Responsibility

  • Define the UAT strategy, set clear entry and exit criteria, and own the UAT operating model.
  • Lead a team of direct reports and a wider test community (25+ matrix/indirect testers) comprising Society colleagues and third-party consultants, creating the conditions for disciplined execution, robust governance, transparent reporting, and objective assessments of readiness and risk.
  • Lead robust defect triage and prioritisation, and provide clear, decision-grade reporting on readiness, residual risk and recommended actions to senior stakeholders in the Society.

Requirements

  • Senior leadership of UAT for large-scale, complex transformation programmes (ideally within a regulated environment).
  • Strong understanding of business operations and end-to-end processes (not solely technology delivery).
  • Experience producing formal UAT exit positions that support executive, evidence-based go-live decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and coordinate large groups of business testers and SMEs, while operating at pace and under pressure.
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to provide constructive challenge when required.

What we offer

  • Hybrid working – 2 days per week in the office
  • Annual bonus of up to 20%
  • Matched pension contributions up to 10%
  • 30 days holiday, plus bank holidays and holiday purchase scheme
  • Private Medical Insurance
