Job Description

A well-established San Francisco litigation firm is seeking an experienced, self-sufficient Litigation Trial Paralegal to provide immediate support on active litigation matters and an upcoming trial. This opportunity is expected to continue on a contract basis through the end of the summer, with the potential to transition into a permanent position depending on mutual fit. This opportunity is ideal for a senior paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and can independently manage pretrial and trial support responsibilities with minimal supervision. While the position offers hybrid flexibility, the selected candidate must be able to provide significant in-office and court presence during trial.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide comprehensive pretrial and trial support to litigation attorneys
  • Coordinate and manage trial exhibits from preparation through presentation
  • Prepare exhibit binders, witness binders, trial notebooks, and related materials
  • Assist with trial logistics, courtroom support, and war room coordination
  • Coordinate witness scheduling, appearances, and related logistics
  • Organize and maintain case files, evidence, and litigation databases
  • Assist with deposition preparation and management of deposition materials
  • Prepare exhibit lists, witness lists, and other trial-related documents
  • Track case deadlines and support pretrial filings
  • Support attorneys throughout trial, including in-court assistance as needed
  • Manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment

Requirements

  • ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate or qualifying paralegal attestation required
  • 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, including significant hands-on trial preparation and courtroom support
  • Demonstrated experience supporting attorneys through trial preparation and trial
  • Experience managing trial exhibits from preparation through presentation
  • Experience preparing and maintaining trial binders, witness binders, exhibit binders, and trial notebooks
  • Experience coordinating witnesses, depositions, and trial logistics
  • Experience supporting trial teams, including courtroom support and war room coordination
  • Familiarity with state and federal court procedures
  • Ability to independently manage pretrial logistics, trial preparation, and competing deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced trial environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work onsite in San Francisco and attend court proceedings as required
  • Availability to begin supporting the team immediately
