Job Description

Steere is seeking a civil engineer with 5 to 10 years of highway/transportation engineering experience to join our Transportation Group and assist with the delivery of transportation projects throughout New England. The role will blend technical expertise with project management to a level commensurate to the successful candidate’s experience, qualifications, and motivation.

Job Responsibility

  • Civil highway and transportation design and contract document preparation (plans, specifications, estimates)
  • Coordination and communication with clients, sub-consultants, and project team members
  • Quality review of work products

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in civil highway/transportation engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Ability to lead designs and/or manage projects from preliminary planning through completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite products, and Bluebeam
  • EIT (required) and the ability to obtain a PE license within 6 months

Nice to have

  • RIDOT and MassDOT experience
  • PE license
