As a member of the ABL France team, you will contribute to Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) and Transport & Installation engineering projects, reviewing and approving analysis and procedures of loading and transportation operations, heavy lifting, and offshore installation activities. You will provide technical expertise throughout the design, construction, and installation phases of major energy developments, including floating offshore wind farms, subsea cables and interconnectors, and pipelines or platform projects in the O&G sector.
Job Responsibility:
Perform calculations and analyses related to transportation, heavy lifting, and installation activities
Travel to project sites to conduct marine warranty surveys and inspections
Select and brief engineers for onshore and offshore deployment, collaborating with colleagues and supporting other technical teams when needed
Review and feedback on technical documents, calculations, and procedures, and contribute to design reviews and risk assessments
Serve as a key technical reference during project execution and support on‑site inspectors as required
Deliver projects in line with customer objectives, service level agreements, and agreed timelines
Work closely with clients and Project / Department Managers to ensure projects progress smoothly and efficiently
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout project execution
Prepare monthly progress and monitoring reports for clients and the Department Manager
Work with your colleagues to promote ABL Group, including participation in business development activities and client meetings
Contribute to the preparation of tenders and support the development of ABL Group’s future business strategy
Oversee timely and accurate project invoicing
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to colleagues across ABL Group
Ensure full compliance with ABL Group’s HSEQ policies and procedures
Requirements:
Educated to degree level in Mechanical / Naval Architecture or a relevant engineering discipline
Proven experience of working on load-out, transportation and installation operations at sea
An understanding of MWS
Experience of conducting MWS assignments is beneficial
Fluent in French and English
Ideally 5 – 10 years’ worth of experience working on offshore Oil and Gas or Renewables Transport and Installation projects, potentially as a Methods or Installation Engineer
Must have the right to live and work in France
