Job Description:

The Senior Transition Manager at NTT DATA will lead service transition projects, ensuring effective collaboration with stakeholders and successful project delivery. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in IT or related fields and 5-10 years of experience in IT project management. Strong proficiency in IT Project Management, Service Transition, and tools like JIRA and MS Project is essential. Certifications such as ITIL, PRINCE2, and PMP are preferred. Excellent communication skills in both German and English are required.

Job Responsibility:

  • Transition of services from one operating entity to another
  • Work in very close cooperation with the transition team in the overall management of all allocated transition work (budget, transition schedules, planning, and coordination of transition status meetings and preparation of transition reports)
  • Directing end to end projects during Service Transition and Transformation by leveraging industry-leading delivery models and tools
  • Monitor and report of performance, progress, and risk status
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely completion of project deliverables
  • Escalation instance for the customer during the transition
  • Responsibility for knowhow transfer and quality gates
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Supports sales opportunity teams by designing transition solutions, participating in orals with clients to bring the solution to life, conducting due diligence sessions to validate the solution and providing transition expertise throughout the opportunity cycle

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/ Finance / Business Administration, Project Management, or related fields
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in IT project and transition management
  • Experience in the management and implementation of customer-specific IT projects and applications/systems
  • Experience with proven record of managing projects with 100FTE or more
  • ITIL Service Transition, PRINCE2 or PMP certification represents an advantage
  • Digital transition tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, ServiceNow)
  • AI/automation awareness related to transition optimization
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and presentation skills
  • Logical and structured approach to problem-solving
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution
