The Senior Transformation Manager – Oracle Planning Data & Architecture is accountable for defining, structuring, and validating the financial and operational data that feeds Oracle EPBCS for planning, forecasting, and reporting. This role operates within FP&A / Finance Transformation and serves as the technical and structural authority for how planning data is sourced, transformed, and delivered into Oracle. This individual will work backwards from FP&A planner requirements, trace data to its originating systems, define clear transformation logic, and partner with IT to ensure high-performance, scalable delivery into Oracle EPBCS. This candidate will put structure to a fragmented and inconsistently documented data landscape. They will ensure that data solutions are aligned to BPM strategy and are effectively implemented, delivered, and sustained. The Senior Transformation Manager holds delegated authority to provide formal sign-off on finance data requirements prior to IT build, challenge unclear business requirements, and push back on architectural decisions that compromise performance, scalability, or planning usability.
Job Responsibility:
Define and document detailed financial and operational data requirements for all data entering and exiting Oracle EPBCS including requirements for ongoing process/product enhancements
Establish clear source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, aggregation rules, and dimensional structures required for planning
Trace planner-facing data back to originating source systems and validate lineage, ownership, and calculation logic
Identify undocumented transformations, inconsistencies, reconciliation risks, and structural inefficiencies
Partner with IT architecture and data engineering teams to translate finance requirements into build-ready technical specifications
Provide formal sign-off on finance data requirements prior to development
Evaluate Oracle EPBCS cube dimensionality, hierarchies, metadata structures, and aggregation design to ensure performance and scalability
This role will be responsible for ensuring our master data structures are properly maintained (e.g. in EDM or similar tools)
Challenge ambiguous business requirements and drive clarity before build initiation
Push back on architectural decisions that introduce unnecessary complexity or degrade planning performance
Support rationalization of fragmented data feeds and reduce manual adjustments within planning cycles
Align finance data requirements with emerging Data COE governance standards
Responsible for BPM Dimensions Library, EDM Config Workbook, Data Conversions inventory (RICEF)
Lead Data Validation efforts in Oracle during testing
Support adoption and literacy of data tools such as EDM with the broader FP&A teams
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Required)
Master’s/Advanced Degree (Preferred)
7–10+ years of experience in finance systems transformation, enterprise data architecture, or EPM system design
Strong experience with structured data design, dimensional modeling, and aggregation logic
Hands-on experience with Oracle EPM / EPBCS (or similar OLAP planning platforms)
Demonstrated experience defining detailed data requirements and partnering with IT through SDLC delivery
Strong understanding of FP&A planning, forecasting, reporting, and driver-based modeling processes
Experience operating in fragmented or greenfield data environments with limited documentation
