We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Senior Training Specialist for an enterprise-level contract opportunity based in Toronto. In this role, you will lead and execute the end-to-end training lifecycle for complex IT solution rollouts, transforming intricate functional and technical systems into clear, accessible educational frameworks. As a senior specialist, you will bridge the gap between technical delivery teams and diverse end-user communities. Operating entirely onsite, you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to conduct training needs assessments, architect robust modern curricula, and engineer comprehensive digital and physical learning assets that drive user adoption and institutional change.
Job Responsibility
Training Needs Assessment: Lead comprehensive learning needs assessments across diverse stakeholder groups to isolate capability gaps and align training strategies with organizational change management practices
Curriculum Architecture: Design and structure comprehensive learning paths, lesson plans, and instructional modules for enterprise wide technology initiatives
Content Engineering & Development: Author and develop a diverse array of training artifacts for all end-user tiers, including interactive e-learning modules, structured user guides, quick-reference scripts, and facilitator packages
Adult Program Facilitation: Lead and facilitate highly engaging instructional sessions using varied delivery models, orchestrating both structured physical classrooms and dynamic virtual environments
E-Learning Asset Management: Utilize advanced digital authoring tools to build, iterate, and publish modern digital training material integrated with enterprise Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with subject matter experts, software developers, quality assurance teams, and third-party vendors to translate complex application specifications into digestible business workflows
Evaluation & Continuous Learning: Design and execute post-training evaluation frameworks to measure baseline performance, gather user feedback, and establish continuous support models
Accessibility & Standard Compliance: Ensure all digital interfaces, documents, and media components strictly adhere to standardized design languages and provincial digital accessibility regulations
Project Management Integration: Apply structured project planning methodologies to track instructional development milestones, mitigate pipeline bottlenecks, and maintain synchronization with macro deployment timelines
Requirements
Adult Learning Facilitation: Extensive hands-on experience facilitating adult learning programs using a wide variety of interactive delivery and engagement methods
Content Creation Depth: Proven track record of developing functional end-user training materials, including instructional guides, participant workbooks, and interactive digital modules
Authoring Software Mastery: High proficiency using advanced e-learning authoring platforms (such as Articulate 360 or Camtasia), modern learning management systems, and standard productivity software
Accessibility & Design Standards: Direct knowledge and practical application of digital accessibility laws (AODA), user interface guidelines, and structured design frameworks
Healthcare Domain Insight: 2+ years of experience delivering technical training support within healthcare spaces, specifically focused on platforms like Long-Term Care systems, Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), or Clinical Assessment tools
Adult Education Foundations: Strong operational understanding of adult education theories, behavioral principles, and modern instructional design practices
Stakeholder Consultation: Polished consulting and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to establish strong ties across technical teams and business line management
Communication & Presentation: Exceptional verbal, written, and cross-functional communication skills, paired with natural comfort presenting intricate technical systems to non-technical lay audiences
Project & Team Leadership: Strong personal organization, critical thinking, and project management capabilities to monitor development progress and meet strict deployment deadlines
