Job Description

Airswift is seeking a Senior Topside Engineer to work in Rio de Janeiro, on a permanent position with a company that operates in the oil and natural gas exploration, development, and production sector.

Job Responsibility

  • Monitor the day-to-day operational performance of FPSOs, focusing on oil and gas production, losses, shutdowns and units’ performance
  • Evaluate production KPIs (uptime, availability, liquid rate, gas rate, water injection, flaring, gas injection/exportation, energy efficiency, etc.)
  • Identify and quantify production losses, deviations, maintenance constraints and operational bottlenecks and propose recovery strategies to the Project team aligned with the department
  • Perform statistical analysis of trends, operational events and equipment performance
  • Consolidate and interpret daily, weekly and monthly operational reports from the Operator, apply robust data analytics and statistical tools and align with the department
  • Participate in Project Update meetings with the Operator and Partners
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, forecast models and production performance trackers using Excel/Power BI or equivalent tools
  • Participate in multi discipline reviews involving topside, subsea, wells, HSE and regulatory teams, contributing operational insight and lessons learned supporting the FPSO Specialist
  • Prepare technical notes and lessons learned reports focused on FPSO operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Advanced English is required
  • Experience in FPSO operations, production optimization, and process engineering
  • Experience in offshore operations support roles is desirable
  • Solid knowledge of FPSO onboard systems: processes, separation, gas compression, water treatment, produced water, gas handling, gas flaring, and uptime management
  • Prior experience with production KPIs, real-time data systems, downtime monitoring, and performance reporting
