AMD is seeking a Technical Marketing Engineer with strong expertise in thermal design for embedded platforms, focused on AI at the Edge and physical AI systems. The role bridges customers, field teams, and engineering to deliver clear, validated thermal methodologies that enable higher performance in thermally constrained environments.
Job Responsibility:
Thermal Methodology and System Enablement: Define and maintain scalable thermal design methodologies from early simulation through validation
Drive best practices for thermal density, hotspot management, and cooling in AI edge applications
Customer and Field Engagement: Act as the technical interface between customers, FAEs, and engineering on thermal challenges and escalations
Enable field teams with clear thermal guidance, design checklists, and decision frameworks
Technical Marketing and Content Creation: Develop technical collateral such as application notes, reference designs, training lab and presentations focused on thermal design
Create training and conference content to position AMD as a leader in embedded thermal innovation
Partner and Ecosystem Collaboration: Collaborate with thermal solution partners to align on validated designs and recommended practices
Support and grow AMD’s thermal partner ecosystem to ensure scalable customer solutions
Requirements:
Hands-on experience with thermal simulation, measurement, and validation
Experience with Siemens Flotherm, Ansys Icepack simulators .tzr, .pdml & .ecxml models or SolidWorks and Creo modelling
Familiarity with AI-at-the-edge workloads and prior experience in technical marketing or applications roles
Familiarity with AMD adaptive and x86 product families
Experience working across customers, field teams, and engineering, with strong technical communication skills
Bachelors in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
