Job Description

The Senior Test Technician is responsible for conducting prescribed tests on technically complex electronic equipment and troubleshooting failures to the component level in a production environment using PC based tools.

Job Responsibility

  • Performs functional and operational tests on circuit boards and chassis in a fast-paced production environment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuit boards and systems down to the component level
  • Support hardware validation and verification activities during development and production phases
  • Interpret schematics PCP and Layouts, to diagnosed failures accurately
  • Troubleshoot products using oscilloscopes and digital volt meters
  • Configures and tests end products to meet customer and company specifications and requirements
  • Configures test equipment to meet multiple testing requirements based on product and customer specifications
  • Evaluates returned products for failures
  • Maintains accurate documentation of product test results and updates troubleshooting logs

Requirements

  • Experience performing functional test and diagnostics using custom PC based test equipment and software
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task to meet multiple deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work over time when needed
  • Maintain safe working practices and comply with safety and quality standards
  • Associate degree in electronic hardware systems engineering or equivalent from the military or technical school preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of electronic technician experience, including troubleshooting to the component level, in a production environment
