We are representing a global semiconductor leader that designs and manufactures analog and embedded processing chips is looking for a Senior Test Equipment Engineer to join their dynamic team. This organization focuses on engineering progress to make electronics more affordable and reliable across industrial, automotive, and personal electronics markets. Based in Malaysia. As a Senior Equipment Engineer, you will have full technical ownership of critical handler platforms, playing a pivotal role in ensuring production readiness and manufacturing stability.
Job Responsibility:
Provide sustaining support for LFSH, FFSH, and P&P handler platforms to ensure optimal performance and reliability
Lead equipment qualification and production release activities for smooth manufacturing ramp-ups
Drive systematic troubleshooting and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and improve Overall Equipment Utilization (OEU)
Develop and improve preventive maintenance (PM) programs to extend machine lifecycles and maximize uptime
Initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and lead second-source evaluation projects for cost savings and risk mitigation
Work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Automation teams to resolve technical challenges
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline
At least 5 years in a semiconductor test manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience with Strip Handler and P&P Handler equipment
Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, servo, pneumatic, and motion control systems
Nice to have:
SME capability in technologies such as Cohu Jaguar (LFSH), TESEC (FFSH), and Advantest/Cohu Matrix (P&P)
Proven ability in machine parameter optimization and throughput improvement
Experience reducing breakdown frequency and improving metrics like MTBA and MTBF
Proficiency in OEU monitoring, SPC, and tools like Spotfire
