The Senior Technology Risk Coordinator plays a key role in protecting the organisation in an increasingly complex and high‑risk global environment. Operating across multiple jurisdictions and regions, the organisation faces a growing range of technology, cybersecurity, and data‑related risks that require clear ownership, strong coordination, and confident leadership. This role is primarily accountable for technology and cybersecurity risk, covering digital infrastructure, cloud services, systems, and incident response, with data protection and regulatory compliance as closely connected areas. The postholder leads proactive risk management while also taking charge when incidents occur—coordinating rapid response, containment, and recovery, and ensuring lessons learned are embedded to strengthen future resilience. Working across teams, regions, and functions, the role brings consistency and clarity to how technology and data risks are identified, managed, and escalated. By providing clear risk insight and structured incident reporting to senior leadership, the Senior Technology Risk Coordinator supports informed decision‑making and helps ensure the organisation can operate securely, confidently, and compliantly in support of its global mission.
Job Responsibility:
Establish and maintain a coherent, organisation-wide approach to identifying, assessing, and prioritising technology and data risks across multiple regions and legislative environments
Provide clear, actionable risk intelligence that informs strategic and operational decision-making
Implement effective safeguards, controls, and monitoring mechanisms that measurably reduce recurring risks, including GDPR-related and cybersecurity incidents
Act as the central coordination point for technology and data incidents, ensuring rapid triage, containment, root-cause analysis, and recovery
Monitor, interpret, and apply relevant cybersecurity, data-protection, and technology-related regulations across all jurisdictions in which the organisation operates
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve organisational technology security and compliance policies that reflect global regulatory requirements, emerging risks, and best practice standards
Equip staff with the knowledge and confidence to recognise threats early and apply secure working practices
Ensure alignment and consistency by coordinating risk assessments, mitigation plans, and incident reporting across departments and geographies
Requirements:
Knowledge of technology risk & security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
Knowledge of cybersecurity, incident response & GDPR
Knowledge of IT infrastructure & cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365/Azure)
Experience in technology/cyber risk management
Experience in incident response leadership
Experience in policy development & compliance work
Experience working across diverse regions/regulations
Experience in cross functional collaboration
Relevant degree or equivalent experience
Security/risk/data protection certifications (e.g., Security+, ISO 27001, CISM/CRISC)
Clear communication skills
