Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Technology Business Systems Consultant to join the Global Regulatory Reporting Technology (GRRT) organisation. This role plays a critical part in supporting the firm’s Non‑Financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRR) obligations across major global regulatory regimes, including MiFID, EMIR, SFTR, MAS, HKMA, CAD, CFTC, SEC, and the Bank of Israel. As a senior consultant, you will serve as a key liaison between business, operations, compliance, and technology delivery teams. You will lead complex analysis, drive clarity on business and technical requirements, assess system impacts, and support the delivery of technology solutions that enhance regulatory reporting accuracy, timeliness, control, and auditability. The role requires a deep understanding of systems, processes, and data flows within a global regulatory reporting environment, along with strong communication, analytical, and delivery‑management skills.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the analysis and documentation of business and technology requirements for moderately to highly complex regulatory reporting initiatives
Partner with business, compliance, operations, and engineering teams to translate regulatory reporting expectations into functional and technical requirements
Evaluate system behavior, data dependencies, and end‑to‑end process flows to identify gaps and recommend solutions aligned with regulatory and enterprise standards
Facilitate requirement walkthroughs, design discussions, and backlog refinement sessions across cross‑functional teams
Act as an internal consultant by applying process‑engineering, workflow optimisation, and continuous‑improvement practices to streamline regulatory reporting processes
Support testing cycles, including defining acceptance criteria, coordinating UAT, validating functionality, and participating in defect triage
Provide structure and leadership across project activities—including planning, schedule management, risk identification, and status reporting
Produce detailed documentation, including business requirements, data mappings, system interaction flows, test cases, and control evidence
Serve as a subject‑matter resource to junior analysts and contribute to best‑practice standards across the regulatory technology organisation
Requirements:
Experience in Business Systems Data, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Nice to have:
Strong understanding of capital markets products such as derivatives, securities financing transactions, equities, and fixed income
Experience working with regulatory bodies (e.g., ESMA, CFTC, MAS, HKMA, SEC) or within regulatory technology functions
Knowledge of data governance, data lineage, and data‑quality practices in reporting ecosystems
Ability to analyse data sets using SQL or similar tools to support investigations and validation
Experience facilitating workshops, requirements refinement, and cross‑functional design sessions
Background in workflow automation, rules‑based engines, or process re‑engineering
Strong understanding of SDLC, testing frameworks, release management, and technology controls
Professional certifications such as PMP, CBAP, Scrum/Agile, FRM, CFA, or equivalent
Exposure to modern data platforms, cloud technologies, or regulatory data‑processing architectures
Familiarity with AI‑powered analysis tools, large language models, or generative AI solutions used to support requirements gathering, documentation, and process optimisation
