Job Description:

Seeking to hire a Quality Engineer (Techno Functional). BIC is seeking to hire a Quality Engineer with 08 - 11 years of experience in IB CB Tech, Investment and Corporate Banking Technology. We are looking for a highly motivated Testing professional who is ready to take on the challenges of working in a fast-paced, world class environment and ready to own the quality of mission critical software. The individual will assist and have specific ownership of the functional and automation Testing activities within agile team. The individual will be required to partner with development, business and support teams to build an understanding of the varied and complex business functionality supported by the financial systems.

Job Responsibility:

Assist and have specific ownership of the functional and automation Testing activities within agile team
Partner with development, business and support teams to build an understanding of the varied and complex business functionality supported by the financial systems
Technically lead a small QE team and ensure that the team is progressing in the appropriate technical directions
Responsible for overall quality, coding standards of the automated suites
Partner with all IB CB app owners and stakeholders and involve oneself in determining strategy, application direction as well as productivity/efficiency (dev and business)
Work with complex and variable issues with multiple stakeholders’ cross geographies
Filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources
Understand business, functional and non-functional requirements in order to develop test plans, test cases and liaison with Development team to automate regression scripts/ pack and execute formal Performance Test plans to ensure the delivery of Quality software applications
Adopt lean approach towards processes, frameworks and actual testing activities
Comprehend data architecture and able to understand the complexities of database tools and define the database testing strategy and data migration strategy

Requirements:

8-11 years’ experience in software testing
At least 6 years’ experience as senior test engineer and software automation testing
Experience of working in agile delivery environment within Squads/ PODs
Clear understanding of QE processes within agile delivery
Understanding of functional, non-functional, mobile and/or database testing
Hands-on experience on Cypress or Selenium based test Automation (data driven, TDD, BDD)
Experience in creating automation test frameworks, test scripting, test suite execution and test reporting
Exposure to tracking and reporting testing metrics / KPI’s
Understanding of basic financial / Capital market concepts would be advantageous
Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies, Quality Process, relevant operating systems, languages and database tools, defect tracking systems, including change management, automation tools
Requires methodical approach to testing and problem solving
Excellent communication and test reporting skills

Nice to have:

Good to have Selenium / Java programming skills
VB scripting and macros will be nice to have
