We are seeking a high-impact Senior Technical Talent Advisor to join our team in Markham. This is not just a high-volume execution role; we are looking for a recruitment partner who acts as a strategic consultant to the business. You will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top-tier software engineering and technical talent while providing data-driven insights to our leadership team. As a Talent Advisor, you will go beyond 'filling seats.' You will be an expert in the software industry landscape, helping our hiring managers refine their requirements and improve the candidate experience.
Job Responsibility:
Strategic Partnership: Act as a consultant to leadership and hiring managers, advising on market trends, salary benchmarks, and talent availability within the software sector
End-to-End Ownership: Drive the full recruitment lifecycle for technical roles, from initial intake meetings to complex offer negotiations
Passive Sourcing & Marketing: Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to engage 'top 10%' passive talent who aren't on the job boards
Process Optimization: Audit and improve the candidate lifecycle, ensuring a high-touch, professional experience that reflects our brand
Lifecycle Management: Draft compelling job descriptions, coordinate multi-stage interview loops, and facilitate post-interview debriefs to ensure objective hiring decisions
Onboarding Integration: Partner with HR to ensure a seamless transition from 'Candidate' to 'Employee,' initiating a successful onboarding journey
Requirements:
Software Industry Expertise: A proven track record of recruiting for complex technical roles (Software Engineers, Architects, DevOps, etc.) is essential
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting. At least 2 years within an organization for consistency
Advisor Mindset: You are comfortable challenging the status quo and providing feedback to hiring managers
Technical Savvy: Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and strong Microsoft Excel skills for reporting and data tracking
Compliance & Best Practices: A deep understanding of recruitment ethics, employment standards, and 'best-in-class' hiring methodologies
Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills, a high sense of urgency, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, process-driven environment
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Nice to have:
Having at least 2 years of their recruitment experience focusing on software and IT roles would be a nice to have
