Elsewhere Entertainment is seeking a Senior Technical QA Analyst to join our team in the development of an exciting new IP. As a Senior Technical QA Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of our features by working closely with our development team. You will be embedded within the team, providing continuous feedback and maintaining the bug database to ensure a smooth development process. In this role, you will utilize a variety of tools to identify and report bugs, ensuring that all issues are documented and addressed promptly. Your keen eye for detail and analytical skills will be essential in analyzing features and designs even before they are implemented, allowing you to provide valuable feedback and minimize risks. As a Senior Technical QA Analyst, you will also take on a mentorship role, helping junior QA colleagues develop their skills and grow within the team. You will be responsible for writing comprehensive documentation and test cases, ensuring that all aspects of the project are thoroughly tested and meet the highest standards of quality.
Job Responsibility:
Embedded within the development team to maintain the highest quality standards for features and tools
Utilize various tools to provide feedback and keep the bug database updated
Mentor and support junior QA colleagues, helping them develop and refine their skills
Write comprehensive documentation and test cases
Assist engineering department in debugging code issues (e.g. crashes)
Help with defining needs for QA tools
Requirements:
At least 5 years of proven experience in QA
Experience as an embedded Technical QA working directly with development teams
At least one released AAA title — AAA experience is a must
Strong experience in testing and validating content implementation, including level design, combat encounters, world assets, scripting, and in‑engine content workflows
Experience supporting content-heavy, open‑world features and understanding the unique challenges of large, systemic, interconnected worlds
Ability to take full ownership over your assigned features and pipelines — from early design analysis, through implementation, to final validation
Experience with working in game creation engines (UE5, Unity or similar)
Strong understanding of QA methodologies and tools
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to mentor and guide junior team members
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
Nice to have:
Familiarity with at least one programming language (preferably C++)
Experience with source control systems (for example GitLab, Perforce)
Innovative thinking and creativity
Automated tests implementation experience
Enjoyment of playing a variety of video game genres and titles
