Software Resources has an immediate, contract job opportunity for a Senior Technical Project Manager with a major corporation in Orlando, FL. On-site 2-4 days per week, subject to change.
Job Responsibility
Leads execution and delivery of technical projects through full delivery life cycle ensuring project is delivered timely and on-budget
Works with engineering teams, including Software Engineers, Product Managers, Architects, and leadership to establish processes across all program areas that will ensure success on strategically prioritized projects and improve efficiency
Defines, optimizes, and manages Agile project management ceremonies and processes for large project teams
Manages hardware/software procurement of assigned projects
Develops a program plan comprised of parallel projects and multiple project managers that collectively produce work that has significant business impact
Anticipates and proactively addresses challenges, ensuring program is progressing to meet business goals
Creates governance practices and provides senior-level leadership oversight and control for the program
Implements fiscal practices and controls, authorizing, recording, and reporting on program expenditures & ROI
Develops infrastructure needed to support the program
Status reporting and consolidated tracking across Publishing threads of work and Vault fast follow effort
Financial management and tracking for related workstreams
Facilitation and coordination of daily standup, including daily cross-functional follow-ups where appropriate
Support with work estimation, dependency management, and timeline planning across initiatives
Maintenance of project plans, milestone tracking, and proactive follow-up with teams to ensure delivery stays on track
Jira governance and end-to-end traceability across workstreams
Vendor coordination and engagement support as needed
Identification, escalation, and tracking of risks, issues, and mitigation plans
Requirements
7+ years of technical project/program management experience working with technical teams developing enterprise class solutions
Understanding of Cloud, APIs, services, database technologies, technologist roles and responsibilities, capabilities & platform dependencies, software development lifecycle, engineering and/or product development
Influence and negotiation, communication, professional maturity & organizational savvy, relationship building, dependency mapping
Hands-on experience with practices such as Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall as well as extensive experience with pragmatic blending of styles to facilitate collaboration and delivery
Deep understanding of Agile technical practices, DevOps and testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD)
Significant experience in coaching and mentoring teams on project management practices including Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall
Excellent ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of projects
Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal) and time management skills with attention to detail
Experience managing large budgets
Office productivity software, including Microsoft suite, Keynote, Smartsheet
Project management software, including MyPPM (Clarity), MyJira
Reporting tools
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Accounting or equivalent relevant experience
Nice to have
Has had prior Sr. Tech PM experience and confidence
Ability to successfully drive hi-performance team to success
Technical project management experience
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Experience in supporting large-scale, global software development programs
