The Regional Sr, Technical Manager is a critical role focused on ensuring the successful planning, design, and implementation of critical infrastructure for data center construction projects. This individual will leverage deep technical expertise in physical infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical (cooling, power, UPS), and network systems, as well as a knowledge of security protocols, compliance standards, and construction processes, to provide guidance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Responsibility:
Technical Oversight and Quality Assurance: Review of scope of works, assist in the development of how to execute data center projects
Review engineering, design implementation plans and project drawings
Perform regular quality checks
Provide expert advice and guidance on troubleshooting
Develop and implement the best practices for Technical Project Delivery
Means and Methods Review: Develop, Analyze and evaluate proposed construction
Define and recommend optimal installation techniques
Ensure proper installation and protection of critical OSP components
Bid and Resource Management: Participate in the bid process for data center construction projects
Provide expert recommendations on the selection of resources, equipment, and materials
Coaching and Mentoring: Coach and mentor project managers, technical managers, data center technicians, and project site teams
Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and support
Conduct regular site visits
Lead workshops and presentations
Requirements:
10 to 15 years in responsible charge of Tier 2, 3 or 4 Data Center(s) or mission critical environment
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from four-year College or University preferred
or 10 to 15 years related technical experience and/or training
or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrate expertise in MEP systems, including design coordination and field implementation
Ability to review, interpret and challenge engineering designs
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
