CVS Health is looking for a Workday (Functional & Technical) Expert (with Payroll and Absence Management) to join our Human Resources Technology team. We’re seeking an experienced and motivated individual who is ready to take on the challenge of supporting HR and Payroll business operations by providing optimal and scalable technology solutions. This person will be an integral part of a team responsible for Workday Payroll and Absence Management modules for domestic (USA) and international employees meeting the needs of CVS Health’s Total rewards, Legal and Human Resources business partners and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of functional and technical expertise, as well as a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical partners. You will provide integral support to the Human Resources and Payroll organizations for their technology needs collaborating with HR Business Partners, COEs and HR Shared Services across all business segments. You will establish cross-functional relationships throughout HR Technology and Human Resources to ensure solutions and initiatives are effectively designed and implemented. Work with dedication and motivation with colleague satisfaction as key goal.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborates with business and technical partners to support the Workday Payroll and Absence functional areas and roadmap
  • Work closely with business leaders and stakeholders to develop vision, goals and roadmap for the Product
  • Maintains clear and up to date list of key deliverables and timelines, developing plans to achieve those targets and proactively communicating progress to a variety of stakeholders
  • Ensures that the delivered product meets or exceeds the business' needs and business objectives
  • Responsible for timely delivery of enhancements, project requests and defects, with optimal and scalable solutions
  • Accountable for the health of the product
  • Gathers requirements, business process optimization, fit-gap analysis, functional design, configuration and testing. Creates necessary documentation in each stage
  • Collaborates with key cross-functional partners to maintain transparency, consistency in delivery, and set expectations
  • Understands the needs of the business and evaluates Workday capabilities through research and testing
  • Actively participates in Workday's semi-annual release process, engaging with release team on cross-functional initiatives and liaising with Business Leads on critical impacts and upcoming enhancement opportunities. Supports regression testing and guide regression testing teams
  • Awareness of new and planned Workday functionality, actively engaging with the Workday Community to prepare and communicate changes that could impact business
  • Leads the translation of business requirements to technical solutions and creating appropriate timelines
  • Responsible for fit-gap analysis, functional design, configuring the application, user acceptance testing and maintenance of the software solution
  • Ensures up to date documentation, necessary approvals and artifacts are documented and maintained in tracking tools
  • Performs and supports user acceptance testing and creates necessary documentation including test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test results
  • Responsible for adherence to industry best practice, actively engaging with Workday Community on future releases. Encourages product innovation and alternative ways of approaching business
  • Integrates relevant data and information and apply the findings to positively impact the Workday strategy and share key insights and actions based on data and metrics
  • Challenges partners to think differently regarding HR and Payroll business processes and operational issues act as a thought partner and model creative problem-solving to impact business decisions
  • Generates reports and analytics to support various business needs
  • Provides strategic direction and guidance to product team and shared services teams, with accountability for mentoring and developing team members

Requirements:

  • 8+ years' experience as a Payroll Technical-functional lead role
  • 7+ years' experience configuring and debugging Business Processes and building solutions in Workday
  • 5+ years' experience working on calculated fields, complex reports and various configurations in Workday
  • 5+ years' experience working with business to gather requirements, perform fit gap analysis, design solutions, create functional designs, configuring Workday application, performing user acceptance testing, and maintaining the health of the product
  • 5+ years' experience generating reports for analysis, data auditing and supporting requests from various business teams
  • 2+ years' experience collaborating with SaaS vendors to deliver business needs
  • 2+ years of experience in leading a team
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
